Design and Build Quality
The carrying case has a smooth, pebble-like design and is compact enough to easily fit in your pocket, making it unobtrusive while walking with it in your jeans.
The earbuds feature a modern design, angled at 45 degrees, for enhanced fit and comfort.
The charging port is positioned at the bottom, with a reset button conveniently located beside it.
One drawback is that, after use, you need to rotate the earbuds 180 degrees to fit them back into the case correctly. This orientation can be confusing, and we frequently ended up placing the earbuds in the wrong slots.
In terms of build quality, the earbuds are made of plastic, and while they look like it, they feel surprisingly sturdy and well-constructed in hand. Although they may not feel exceptionally premium, they have a slight heft that adds a touch of quality.
The case feels decent overall; however, there’s a peculiar issue. When pressing on the case by placing a thumb on the charging port and two fingers on the lid, it produces a creaking sound, which certainly shouldn’t be there.
Overall, the earbuds offer a solid build and modern design, though the charging case could benefit from some quality improvements.

Fit and Comfort
Fit and comfort are quite subjective, as they depend on individual ear size and shape.
However, when we used the SoundPeats Air4 Pro, we experienced no issues at all. The earbuds are compact and don’t protrude noticeably from the ears, meaning they stay securely in place.
Thanks to their in-ear design, they fit snugly and remain stable even during vigorous head movements.
We wore these earbuds continuously for three hours, took a brief one-hour break, and then used them for another three hours—never experiencing any discomfort or fatigue.
While we found the fit and comfort excellent, those with very small ears might encounter slight fitting challenges.

Sound Quality
We tried the SoundPeats Air4 Pro earbuds with five different devices: three Android phones (two with aptX support and one with only AAC) and two Windows laptops (a newer model with Windows 11 and a five-year-old model with Windows 10 Pro).
First, the earbuds connected seamlessly across all devices without needing any configuration changes.
After using the earbuds on these five devices, we observed that sound quality varied depending on the device.
When using the earbuds with the Android phone with only AAC, we found the sound quality to be great, delivering strong bass, fairly crisp treble, and clear vocals. However, loudness was lacking, requiring us to keep the volume above 90% most of the time.
Switching to the Android phone with aptX support, we immediately noticed improved loudness—though not extremely high—and could comfortably set the volume around 75-80%.
With aptX, these earbuds deliver rich and detailed bass with the punch that bass enthusiasts enjoy. Notably, the bass isn’t overwhelming, as other frequencies like vocals and treble remain clear and fairly crisp.
Sound separation was well-defined, with a decent soundstage. However, while the bass shines, the treble lacks a bit of sparkle that would make the audio even more dynamic.
On our newer Acer laptop running Windows 11, the sound quality remained good, with slight improvements in treble and vocals. However, despite enhanced mids and highs, they still lacked the crispness and sparkle found on mobile devices. Loudness improved significantly, but overall clarity wasn’t as sharp.
Surprisingly, the five-year-old Acer laptop with Windows 10 Pro offered the best audio experience. Clarity and crispness were enhanced to an ideal level, and bass matched the quality we experienced on our smartphones. This laptop brought out the earbuds’ best sound quality.
After using with multiple devices, we found that these earbuds have the potential to deliver impressive sound, though audio performance can vary depending on the paired device.
To summarize the sound profile: it’s rich in bass. If you’re a bass enthusiast, these earbuds will be a great match. While they don’t deliver the most refined vocals and treble, the vocals remain clear, and the treble could benefit from added crispness.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the sound quality of the SoundPeats Air4 Pro.

ANC Performance
As with the sound quality, we also observed a few details about the ANC performance.
When you activate ANC, it significantly reduces background noise, creating an almost silent environment.
Louder sounds like honking, passing trucks, or construction noise are still audible but feel distant, even if they’re nearby. It is impressive and ensures the ANC performance won’t disappoint.
However, when ANC is activated, a faint hissing sound is present. While this is common in ANC earbuds, the hissing is slightly more noticeable here. In moderately quiet environments, the hissing persists and can become somewhat frustrating, increasing in intensity with ambient noise up to a certain level.
Another issue we noticed is that if ANC is on when placing the earbuds back in the case, it remains toggled on when you remove them to use again. However, the earbuds actually revert to Normal or Pass-Through mode, requiring an extra step to reactivate ANC.
While not a major drawback, it does add an extra step to get back to the ANC mode.
Aside from these points, the actual ANC performance is great and will meet your expectations.
ANC: 4.0★
Microphone and Call Quality
The call quality was decent—not exceptional, but certainly adequate.
In a completely quiet room, the person on the other end could hear us clearly, though the voice quality wasn’t as crisp as using a phone’s built-in mic.
In moderately noisy environments, we had to raise our voice to be heard effectively.
In very noisy conditions, the call experience fell below average, as the other person struggled to hear us clearly. While the earbuds do reduce wind noise, they don’t eliminate it entirely, so some wind noise remains audible to the other person.
Overall, these earbuds perform well for indoor calls but may not meet expectations for outdoor use.
Microphone and Call Quality: 3.8★

Battery Life
The company claims 6.5 hours of music playback and 26 hours with the charging case, but here’s what we experienced in real-world usage.
- With ANC on and music playing at 80% volume, we achieved 3 hours and 50 minutes of playback. With ANC off at the same volume, the playback extended to about 5 hours and 15 minutes.
- For mixed usage—such as calls, gaming, video watching, and switching between ANC on and off—we averaged around 5 hours of battery life on the earbuds.
- As for the total battery life with the case, we got around 14 hours with ANC on, about 21 hours with ANC off, and approximately 20 hours with mixed usage.
Charging the case and earbuds takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Overall, the battery life is sufficient for most users. However, a larger battery in the earbuds would have notably improved longevity.
Ideally, a 45mAh battery in the earbuds and a 400mAh case would have been a better fit.
That said, given the compact and lightweight design, the battery life should be more than adequate for everyday use.

Connectivity and Features
As for connectivity, the SoundPeats Air4 Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.3, offering fantastic performance overall.
We didn’t experience any connection issues, though we did encounter one rare glitch: while watching YouTube videos, the video would automatically pause. While this only happens occasionally, it’s worth mentioning.
Other features include:
- Dual Connectivity: This is a standout feature, working seamlessly. The earbuds automatically switch to your phone when a call comes in, pausing any video playing on your laptop. It’s a convenient addition.
- In-Ear Detection: This feature works flawlessly, pausing playback when the earbuds are removed from your ears.
- Latency: With 88ms latency, these earbuds aren’t ideal for intense gaming, but they perform well for casual gaming, significantly reducing lag.
- Fast Pairing: The earbuds support fast pairing, automatically reconnecting to the last paired devices when removed from the case.
- IPX4 Rating: While not extraordinary, the IPX4 rating means the earbuds can withstand minor splashes and light rain.
Overall, the SoundPeats Air4 Pro is packed with features. However, the touch controls are unique: tapping the right earbud raises the volume, while tapping the left earbud lowers it.
These controls may be a bit confusing at first, but you’ll get used to them with time.

App Support
The SoundPeats Air4 Pro offers app support, though the app is quite basic in appearance and has some bugs. We frequently noticed discrepancies in the battery status displayed for each earbud. Additionally, you need to create an account to use the app.
Aside from that, the app provides all standard options like changing EQ modes, customizing sound, enabling/disabling gaming mode, switching between ANC and other modes, and other basic controls.
The app’s simplicity and occasional bugs can detract from the experience. Adding more features and a redesign could significantly enhance its usability.
App Support: 3.8★

While the earbuds may not deliver a fully premium experience, they come remarkably close, providing features that feel premium given the cost.
If you can purchase them at $64, they certainly offer great value for money.

Our Real-life Experience
Overall, we enjoyed using the SoundPeats Air4 Pro earbuds, especially as fans of bass-heavy sound. We also appreciated their extensive features and the effectiveness of the ANC.
While we experienced some issues with dual connection mode on the SoundPeats Air4 Lite, these were notably absent on the Air4 Pro, which we found to be a pleasant improvement.
However, a few issues can detract from the overall experience. For instance, when we wanted complete silence to focus on work, turning on the ANC introduced a noticeable hissing sound, which was somewhat distracting.
Additionally, during movie playback, the video would occasionally pause on its own, which shouldn’t be happening.
Despite these minor drawbacks, our experience with the SoundPeats Air4 Pro has been very satisfactory.
