Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Watch 2 was launched in the US at $300 for the 46mm variant, placing it in direct competition with flagship watches like the Galaxy Watch 6.
The OnePlus Watch 2R, being a lighter version of the Watch 2, was anticipated to be more affordable. Indeed, it has been launched at $200 in the US, which was at the upper end of the expected price range of $150 to $200.
While $200 is the maximum price anticipated, it does place the Watch 2R on the slightly pricier side. A launch price of around $170 would have been more appealing.
For availability, you can purchase the Watch 2R from online retailers such as Amazon, the official OnePlus website, or from your nearest OnePlus store in the US and UK.
OnePlus Watch 2R Best Features
Here’s what we liked the most about the OnePlus Watch 2R:
- Smooth OS: The OnePlus Watch 2R runs on Wear OS, providing a smooth and stutter-free experience. Scrolling and performing tasks feel seamless, giving a premium user experience. Additionally, you can install apps of your choice on this smartwatch.
- Display: The OnePlus Watch 2R features an impressive AMOLED display with vibrant colors and deep, rich blacks. With its 46mm size, the display falls into the larger category, ensuring easy viewing of all content.
- Battery Life: The company claims a 4-day battery life, which is achievable if you do not use features like GPS and Always On Display extensively. With all features turned on, the watch can easily last two days. While this is good, it may not be considered impressive. The battery takes about an hour to fully charge.
- Health Tracking: The OnePlus Watch 2R tracks your health effectively, though the results are not 100% accurate. You can expect the health tracking accuracy to be around 85%, depending on the activity you are performing.
- Design and Build: The watch is made of metal, giving it a premium feel. The bottom is made of plastic, and the watch straps are made of soft silicone rubber, providing comfort and durability.
